Interior Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC)

The purpose of the IDCEC is:

  • to promote life long learning for the interior design professional;

  • to serve as a central entity for the sharing of Continuing Education Unit (CEU) information, accreditation, and registration; and,

  • to provide strategic planning for CEU programming and activity.

IDCEC policy and guidelines concerning CEUs is operationally based on standards established by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training (IACET) www.iacet.org. The IACET is a non-profit organization devoted to the constructive and consistent use of the Continuing Education Unit. Their standards were developed and are used by many of the other professions that are using the CEU as a measure for recognizing endeavors achieved towards life long learning.
