An exciting change is in the works to reorganize Canada’s interior design community. Over the past two years, Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) and interior design associations have been working together on a restructuring plan. These changes offer industry manufacturers and suppliers unique opportunities to expand their reach across the nation.
This new association structure will separate the industry’s advocacy and regulatory functions. With this transition, IDC will become a strong, cohesive and national advocacy body, working to advance the profession across Canada and internationally. Provincial associations will now act as regulatory authorities only, and will continue to regulate the profession, and serve and protect the public.
The restructuring of IDC provides many opportunities for industry members. These opportunities are outlined in a new brochure, which identifies membership options tailored to your company’s needs.
Industry individuals, companies, or associations supplying services and products integral to the practice of interior design are eligible for membership in IDC . To apply, please fill out an application form. Industry members have extensive brand exposure, reaching an audience coast to coast.
